The Cosman Barn provides an historical connection to the past. Purchased by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County years ago, the early 1900s barn is preserved to the days of dairy farmer Henry Cosman. As a Forest Preserve building, the restoration also included upgrades for security and safety.
The scope entails the removal and replacement of new appropriately detailed man doors, sliding barn doors and exterior windows. Also included in the scope is selective replacement of barn siding to match existing, preparing and repainting the exterior of the Barn.
Scope of work included electrical improvements consisting of removing the existing electrical components and branch circuitry. Additionally installed new power panels, switches, raceways, conductors and devices. Provide molded case thermal-magnetic circuit breakers and HACR circuit breakers for HVAC equipment. Redistribute the electoral loads to the appropriate areas to ensure safe and reliable power. Provide GFCI protection where required and clearly label all panels for circuit identification..
